Hidden in this painting is the sun shining over green rolling hills, with blue streams of water flowing down. Silhouettes of plants sprout up from the below, life sprouting from the nourishment of water. There is one rainbow connected to the sun, and one rainbow connected to the earth. It represents the interconnectedness of our human form with the land we live on, the water that flows, the air we breathe, and the energy that flows through it all. 
 
The face represents the sentience of creatures on the earth, that we are conscious beings of nature in a constant energy and particle exchange with the environment around us. When I looked at the white teeth contrasting against the colors around, I couldn’t help but be reminded of gravestones. In a depiction of so much life, there is also a representation of death. A reminder of ancestors, organisms, and happenings that laid the foundation for our current reality, and what has had to shift form for us to experience life as we now know it.
